09/03/2015: Needing a Revolution in the 2016 Presidential Election Cycle!

Voter registration is critical for bringing about revolutionary change to local, state and federal elections in the 2016 Presidential Election Cycle and future elections.

The following is what is recommended on how to do voter registration by the League of Women Voters

PLANNING A SUCCESSFUL VOTER REGISTRATION DRIVE

Set Your Goals and Objectives:

Set an achievable numerical goal from the beginning, to inspire volunteers and serve as a guide for evaluation.

Next, identify:

    A target time period
Sites/venues that will reach the most unregistered/first time voters
    Potential partners
    Your key team members

Know the Law:

Become familiar with the federal, state and local laws that govern voter registration in your community.  Voter registration practices – methods, deadlines, permissible sites, and the role of volunteers – differ from state to state and often vary among local jurisdictions in the same state. For more information, contact your Secretary of State or check out Project Vote's state guides on voter registration drives here.

Federal laws, such as the Voting Rights Act, Voting Access for the Elderly and Handicapped Act, and the Help America Vote Act protect the rights of minorities and other citizens to vote. Seek legal assistance if you believe that state or local registration practices violate citizens’ voting rights. Be sure to keep registration drives nonpartisan.
Work With Elections Officials

Make sure local elections officials know about your plans.  In some places, you will need their help to get voter registration forms, to register voters at special sites or to train and deputize volunteer registrars.  In other places, only official registrars may be allowed to register voters.

If you will need large numbers of forms or deputy registrars, inform elections officials as early as possible and in writing, so they can make necessary arrangements.  If elections officials are uncooperative or do not provide assistance allowed by state election laws, and you have made a good-faith effort to work with them, seek legal assistance.
Form a Coalition

Coordinate your effort with other organizations planning voter registration drives, and share information about scheduled activities to avoid duplication.  Take advantage of each organization’s special strengths.
Select Your Sites

Site selection and careful timing are critical elements of an effective registration drive.  Use your resources efficiently by providing voter registration opportunities where there are large numbers of unregistered citizens who have the time to sign up.

Consider festivals, fairs, sporting events, schools, colleges, public transit stops, public assistance offices or down towns and shopping centers.  Select your site to make the best use of volunteers and schedule volunteers for peak attendance times.

Visit sites ahead of time, and select the most visible and accessible places to station volunteers.  Consider the needs of disabled people.  Get whatever permission is necessary to register at a privately owned site.

Recruit, Train and Assign Volunteers:

Impress volunteers with their responsibility to protect the right to vote of the citizens they are registering by filling out the forms correctly and returning them promptly to elections officials.  Include training in techniques for approaching potential registrants and in messages that will motivate citizens to register.

“Sell” Voter Registration and Market Your Event:

Use the media – editorials, articles, talk shows, PSAs – to promote voter registration. Provide information about registration deadlines and requirements.  Advertise your voter registration drive, including the sites and times where voter registration will take place.  Stage an event – a celebrity appearance, band concert or remote broadcast – to attract a crowd.  Don’t be afraid to get out from behind a table and work the crowd.

Plan Ahead!

Assign a volunteer or event leader to bring the following items to your event:

    Voter registration forms

    Volunteer name tags
    Collection envelopes
    Pencils and pens
    Flyers/posters
Information on/applications for absentee voting (Visit www.VOTE411.org for help)
Your League's voter guide or other voting-related materials (find more in the League Store)
League membership brochures & sign-up sheets for more information
    “At-a-glance” state/county information including:
        election dates
        registration rules
        absentee voting guidelines
        Board of elections contact information

Keep Good Records:

Volunteer registrars should keep track of the names, addresses and telephone numbers of everyone they register by using tally sheets or photo copying registration cards, where this is permissible by law.  This information will help if forms are lost or there are other problems.  Use this information to get the new registrants out to vote by doing such things as alerting them of candidate debates and reminding them of Election Day.

Publish Your Results and Celebrate:

Show the world that your voter registration drive made a difference.  Public officials and candidates will take note.  Volunteers will feel positive about their hard work.

Reward volunteers.  A well-timed expression of appreciation will help persuade your volunteers to work on the get-out-the-vote effort and to volunteer for the next registration drive.

Follow-Up and Evaluate:

Contact the new registrants – by email, phone or mail– and remind them to vote.  Ask them to visit VOTE411.org to find their polling place and learn about what will be on their ballot.  Let them know you're there to help if they need information or assistance.

Evaluate your efforts, and decide what worked best.  Keep this information, with the names and phone numbers of your volunteers, for your organization’s next voter registration drive. Finally, share your challenges, as well as your success stories, with LWVUS! We want to support your important efforts.

08/30/2015: True Democracy is; One person, One vote.

One Person, One Vote: Is the principle that all citizens, regardless of where they reside in a state, are entitled to equal legislative representation!

This principle was enunciated by the Supreme Court in Reynolds v. Sims, 377 U.S. 533, 84 S. Ct. 1362, 12 L. Ed. 2d 506 (1964). The Court ruled that a state's Apportionment plan for seats in both houses of a bicameral state legislature must allocate seats on a population basis so that the voting power of each voter is as equal as possible to that of any other voter.

We do not need to wait until the 2016 election cycle; This approach needs small amounts of individual money and large actions; if you care about yourself, your family, your friends, and your neighbors!

Definition of People:

  1. Human beings (living and breathing person) in general or considered collectively.
  2. The men, women, and children of a particular nation, community, or ethnic group.

Definition of Corporation:

  1. A company or group of people authorized to act as a single entity and recognized as such in law; not as a person (living and breathing human being).
  2. A group of people elected to govern a city, town, or borough.

Definition of Speech:

  1. The expression of or the ability to express thoughts and feelings by articulate sounds; not TV ads, etc.
  2. A formal verbal address or discourse delivered to an audience; face to face and one on one with interaction and discussion to reach a compromise.

Definition of Judge:

  1. A public officer authorized to hear and decide cases in a court interrupting the letter (intent) of our laws; a magistrate charged with the administration of justice; not a legislator.
  2. An authorized arbiter of the laws of a state or government.
  3. A person qualified to pass a critical judgment in state of federal  law.

What is the biggest problem in the United States of America today?

Money has allowed corruption of the primary purpose, meeting voting constituents needs,  of government in the United States of America.

  1.  One Person (human being) – One Vote.
  2. Gerrymandering of election districts within states to a benefit or a political party and not creating equal representation by ration boundaries of a number of people (county or group of counties in a state
  3. Judges at all levels must face election and must not be appointed. They a selected by a President or governor and then the must need a vote by legislators appointed by voters who can remove them and the judge.

What are the solutions to the problem of money changing how one person one vote works?

  1.  Impeachment of the Supreme Court Justices that made that ruled corporations are people and money is free speech for judicial activism (legislating) instead of interrupting the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights!
  2.  Impeach activist state and federal judges that do not properly interpret and enforce our states laws.
  3. We must make our state Houses of Representatives bring this impeachment forward by calling each and every Representative to file our complaint and vote on it so it goes to the states senate.
  4. We must make our United States House of Representatives bring this impeachment forward by calling each and every Representative to file our complaint and vote on it so it goes to the United States Senate. We must share if they refuse to bring impeachment forward and not vote for them or recall them according to our state laws.
  5. The above four actions require that we hold our elected officials accountable through recall.
  6. We need recall of elected officials and the ability to bring impeachment actions in all fifty states of the United States of America.
Nineteen states plus the District of Columbia permit the recall of state official

  1. Recall of State Officials (Start with states that require a new election and not appointment by the Governor).
    Alaska
    Illinois
    New Jersey
    Arizona
    Kansas
    North Dakota
    California
    Louisiana
    Oregon
    Colorado
    Michigan
    Rhode Island
    District of Columbia
    Minnesota
    Washington
    Georgia
    Montana
    Wisconsin
    Idaho
    Nevada

08/10/2015: A 50 year storm is coming in November 2016.

A 50 year storm is coming in November 2016.

Upwards of 200 Representatives removed from the U.S. House of Representatives.

Upwards of 30 Senators removed from the U.S. Senate.

Upwards of 3 Supreme Court Justices impeached and removed from the bench.

Here is what is at stake in November 2016 and now; solutions for the top five problems to address voter’s needs. It is time to level the playing field and level politicians that are against us. In an earlier post it was stated this can be changed starting today through recall elections. Then we tell those that remain that long term retirement and healthcare benefits that are ridiculous; will be changed permanently for them! Call and tell your elected officials ask them: are you for us or against us! Share the priorities below!

  1. Economy (Infrastructure - $3 trillion - millions of jobs and Fair tax laws and stopping $500 to $800 Billion in handouts to corporations pays for it in less than 5 years.). Poverty, Hunger, and homelessness. Stop adhering to any trade agreements; clauses that affect American workers living or the United States will unilaterally withdraw from the World Trade Organization and the G7; taking back sovereignty. Try a world economy without the United States of America. Investments that include fixes to climate change issues.
  2. Dissatisfaction with government (voting rights). Overturning Citizens United. Moral and ethical decline (lack of current laws being enforced - anti-trust laws.). Racism and race relations (law enforcement change; licensing and personal liability insurance).
  3. Immigration in a nation created through immigration (legal and illegal); fix the immigration system.
  4. Educational System change and correction. Universal education funding, all the way through a four year college degree in the public system of education. No more education vouchers and payments to for profit educational, day care like, indoctrination facilities.
  5. Healthcare system change and correction.  Universal healthcare for all citizens for all medical needs; including medicines, eye, hearing, and dental.

This journalist's opinion: is what a waste of time and so much hot air!

No solutions for the top five problem to address voters needs:

  1. Economy (Infrastructure - $3 trillion - millions of jobs and Fair tax laws and stopping $500 to $800 Billion in handouts to corporations pays for it in less than 5 years.).
  2. Dissatisfaction with government (voting rights).

08/06/2015 Common Sense and Critical Thinking Driven Truths.

Breaking News Today, August 6, 2015:

Scratch my back I’ll scratch yours!

Capitalistic (money driven) Economics

vs.

Socialistic (progressive human values driven) Economics

Both are democracy compatible.

Both are not communist plots.

Both are progress oriented and not liberal or conservative.

Capitalism is dictator (individual power) compatible.

Socialism (populous rule) is not dictator (power) compatible.

The United States of America was created as a:

Socialistic Democracy.

Candidate, Party, Corporations (PAC'S & Lobbyists) = team of 3?

Parties and Partners will tell you when to become President?

Should “WE the PEOPLE” WORRY about and FEAR the team of 3

I’d vote Socialistic Democracy over
Capitalistic Dictatorship; ALWAYS!
